If things still look good tomorrow I’ll be there Thursday.

Glen Heinz (Greenville, SC)22-Apr-20 01:02 PM
Decided I'm chasing, no matter what I need to get out. Even if I chase HP.
Sasha (Montreal, QC)🇨🇦22-Apr-20 01:07 PM

it's a warms sector idk what ur talking about
Ivy MacDaniel (Clarksville, TN)22-Apr-20 05:30 PM
Are you okay, RAP? Are you even still doing drugs? Why PDS TOR? (This is Knoxville, TN tomorrow 23z by the way)
RAP is really... really aggressive with DP and CAPE so I am not sure how much confidence I want to put in RAP. Maybe not so much.(edited)
Sam Soud (Jacksonville, FL)22-Apr-20 06:36 PM
i have almost no confidence in this event to be honest with you all, all the models seem to be spitting out a very similar solution with a massive squall line going through the warm sector during the middle of the day
I don't see very much possibility of threat behind the squall, even after the airmass recovers there's still going to be issues with the wind profiles
Jeff House (Chattanooga, TN)22-Apr-20 06:54 PM
I agree. Looks MCSy South Georgia and SC, with a ton of turning with height. Something may rotate, but it'd be sloppy. I've doubts about veered off AL/GA line, but low-top sups would have nice visibility back there - rare in Dixie. I'm not expecting anything of note, but something in the daytime would be such a radical shift.
Glen Heinz (Greenville, SC)22-Apr-20 08:22 PM
TA = Modoc, SC and you @Chris Jackson (Columbia, SC) ?...
Cameron (Fortson, GA)22-Apr-20 08:28 PM
I'll take good visibility, problem is now HRRR wants to throw a curveball and move the MCS out faster
Jordan Doane (Ringgold, GA)22-Apr-20 11:40 PM
I’ll see how it looks in the morning. As of now I’m not going any further than local. From what I’ve seen this is not worth a 5 hr drove to AL/MS boarder.

Cameron (Fortson, GA)22-Apr-20 11:43 PM
Could also host a big hail threat too, golfballs are not optimal if you're driving 5 hours
Chris Jackson (Columbia, SC)23-Apr-20 12:00 AM
TA = Modoc, SC and you @Chris Jackson (Columbia, SC) ?...
@Glen Heinz (Greenville, SC) Leaving CAE at 830
Cameron (Fortson, GA)23-Apr-20 12:04 AM
You guys stay safe and good luck!
Ivy MacDaniel (Clarksville, TN)23-Apr-20 12:12 AM
I would be working on electrodynamics and maybe fluid, but I'll be armchairing this event
Glen Heinz (Greenville, SC)23-Apr-20 12:45 AM
What the hell models.
take a dump all over me.
Ivy MacDaniel (Clarksville, TN)23-Apr-20 12:46 AM
I'm in OBS mode now. Models don't have good handle of it.
Glen Heinz (Greenville, SC)23-Apr-20 12:47 AM
I guess Chris is going way south. and west.
Cameron (Fortson, GA)23-Apr-20 01:02 AM
@Glen Heinz (Greenville, SC) I'm sorry
HOLY 30% hatched hail for me
Glen Heinz (Greenville, SC)23-Apr-20 03:38 AM
Ya I'm done. I can't go that far south. This sucks, needs to be just a bit more north.
James Judson (Macon, Ga)23-Apr-20 04:38 AM
@Glen Heinz (Greenville, SC) South Carolina looks interesting on Hrrr
I'm setting up in Tifton
Glen Heinz (Greenville, SC)23-Apr-20 07:36 AM
Good job James go get some luck
Cameron (Fortson, GA)23-Apr-20 07:37 AM
And this MCS is moving through like, earlier than expected
Ivy MacDaniel (Clarksville, TN)23-Apr-20 07:39 AM
And we could be seeing some of destabilization starting as well
Jeff House (Chattanooga, TN)23-Apr-20 12:42 PM
North Alabama probably won't do it, and I'm not driving south of Birmingham. No Cullman special today I guess
Steve Owens (Camilla, GA)24-Apr-20 10:13 PM
I work in Ochlocknee GA and live in Camilla Ga. Pelham is between those. This tornado currently classified as an EF-1 and was long tracking. Here is video from WFXL. You can hear our storm team transmitting in the background.
