This event is really looking to be better than Friday...could be a multi-day severe weather outbreak on our hands...took this sounding from the GA/SC border...getting an EML that Far East with Dixie shear is never a good thing, could spell big time problems..likely to be out chasing this day in GA/SC...first ever Deep South chase
Very pronounced LLJ at 850mb and good winds aloft at 500mb

I've been so busy. Haven't even looked at models. I'm afraid if I do, they'll trend downward. I'm trying to trick Mother Nature I guess? lol. Well i'll local chase only.

Big wind event coming and yep tilted QLCS & SC embeds. Maybe a few or none Pre-frontals. Local chase day for sure. Plus that MCS before hand is not helping. Lower level winds aren't the best. I can see why your pulling contaminated soundings. I just glanced over the model this morning. Looked at 00z and 06z. Now it will downtrend, lol. Trees just got there leaves here. Setup for only one hour drive away from home base. I don't need any extra problems with the truck. I'm 2 weeks away from out west chase trip.

I think the chase trips may need to be a little earlier this year.

Meteorology looks solid Talladega National Forest. Um, that's gorgeous hiking but dreadful chase terrain. I'll armchair from KCHA. (edited)
