Hail cars don't sell locally cheap. They're "totalled". Follow process. Car lot -> Insurance back lot for a year with all the windows broken, getting rained in -> CoPart auction -> Rich guys from Dubai who need parts cars bid them up to $60K.

the largest outdoor car lot in the US was located in Blair, NE about 20 mi north of Omaha. it was hit by a storm with 4" hail in 2014. something like 20000 cars totalled. they got auction'ed all over the country afterword. dealership did fine. big difference from 2001, when a similar storm hit mid-omaha and took out a dozen dealerships and they had to sell everything off cheap
