Know your High Plains climatology: Tomorrow will not render much with the “supercell composite parameter”, but guidance shows upslope flow and more than sufficient CAPE/shear. Result should be several supercells from eastern CO to southwest TX. #cowx #nmwx #txwx

I will be there!

I wanted to stat in NM but I can’t pass up a weak low system backing the winds. Dews are a concern, but I’m sure there will be a land spout.
Kyle Cutler (Portland, OR)29-May-21 09:33 AM
Headed North into this as well
jarrettmcallister (Kiowa,CO)29-May-21 11:08 AM
There looks to be a storm that fires off across all models around the El paso, Dauglas, Elbert county lines and carries ENE. That is where i will be targeting today. Atleast get some good structure.

Today is going to be good.
Norman Smith (Racine, OH)29-May-21 11:28 AM
You think?
Matthew Gaylor (OKC, OK)29-May-21 11:28 AM
Landspouts for sure.
With a low helping back the winds, I wouldn’t be shocked for a tornado or 2
Moisture is the one issue
NM is dead today. Midland sounding showed lack of moisture.
Norman Smith (Racine, OH)29-May-21 11:31 AM
Campo, CO?
That’s what I’m thinkin
Matthew Gaylor (OKC, OK)29-May-21 11:33 AM

Lots of public land out there
Glen Heinz (Greenville, SC)29-May-21 12:10 PM
Be very careful of the gravel roads. You go off the side of them it’s a sand trap. Don’t trust google maps. On some of the backroads.
Google will have you go down a driveway. Rabbit is good, rabbit is wise.
Lots of Ranches to be careful not to get on private land.
Very scenic out there. Luv it!
Watch out for Antelope. They are more crazy then deer, faster to and they don’t jump.
Josh Zitko(St Louis, MO)29-May-21 12:29 PM
Google will absolutely take you down driveways and private roads, and you won't notice until you deadend into a ranch gateway.
Glen Heinz (Greenville, SC)29-May-21 01:04 PM
Indeed stick to the grid pattern rds and that’s not perfect at all. Of course watch for all road crossings. The no stop sign rds.
GL guys. Can’t be with you guys today.
Glen Heinz (Greenville, SC)29-May-21 01:17 PM
Almost forgot if you do get stuck out there in the middle of nowhere. Stuck or car problems. You can dail 911. For help and there used to it. Even if you don’t have signal. It will ping the closest tower. That comes from a Game Warden and State Park staff at Black Mesa. Just don’t do it in a Town or City.
Matthew Gaylor (OKC, OK)29-May-21 02:10 PM
Also remember gas is probably $3 in Colorado
Glen Heinz (Greenville, SC)29-May-21 02:19 PM
Sure is every where.
Well for me and my truck. I need 92 octane
Cody D. (Lincoln, NE - UNL)29-May-21 02:24 PM
