Saying that it is unstable this afternoon is putting it very lightly. In fact, the atmosphere has become exceptionally unstable heading into the afternoon. SBCAPE over 5,000 J/kg, with MLCAPE over 3,000 J/kg. #NWOhioWx #OHwx #weather

Gradients make me think this thing is going to start in Iowa and move SE through Illinois and into SE Illinois and Southern IN/Northern KY.
I can’t look at meso myself
But that’s the inclination I’m getting.
The issue is where is the forcing?

No the corn sweat is helping enhance the dew points and driving the extreme instability
